This policy report provides a broad overview of the existing criminal justice, health care, behavioral health and policy landscape in California. Based on input from policy-makers, practitioners, and stakeholders, it identifies seven issue areas, including: eligibility establishment, care coordination and service delivery, maximizing federal financial participation (FFP), release of information (ROI), residential and outpatient treatment capacity, housing, and evaluation; and discusses recommendations and suggested next steps.
