Dr. Matthew Beare at Clinica Sierra Vista discusses his approach to getting Primary Care Providers interested in obtaining their Data 2000 X-Waiver and how he is working to overcome resistance and increase the waivered workforce. Dr. Lori Raney from HMA describes similar work in integrated settings for getting primary care providers to buy-in to treating other behavioral health conditions and how these two approaches are similar (and different). There was an open discussion among audience members about how to collaborate and provide real world solutions for best practices in engaging primary care providers to do MAT through a peer-to-peer process.
